Synopsis
Valkyries—mythic warriors from Asgard—are dispatched by Odin to defend Earth as demon activity escalates. Disguised as the Saotome sisters, nine valkyries must grow stronger to face the threat, and their power-ups come through a range of romantic “leveling” rituals with their designated partner, the Einherjar.
That partner is Takuma Akutsu, a teen weighed down by severe social anxiety who is stunned to learn he’s been chosen for the role. Though uneasy, he allows the sisters to move into his spacious, nearly empty home so they can prepare for battle. With demon-hunting duties on one side and an unexpectedly crowded household on the other, Takuma is pushed to confront his fears while trying to live up to the responsibility of protecting the world.
