Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki

Fumiya Tomozaki reigns as Japan’s top player in the online game *Attack Families* (“Tackfam”), yet that mastery doesn’t translate to the halls of his high school. With few social skills and no close friends, he comes to see everyday life as a badly designed game—one with unfair rules that leaves him convinced he’s a “bottom-tier” character.

Everything shifts after he meets a fellow elite Tackfam competitor and learns the player is Aoi Hinami: a bright, well-liked classmate whose confidence and sociability stand in stark contrast to his own. Astonished that Tomozaki excels at little besides gaming, Aoi takes it upon herself to coach him through what she calls the ultimate game—real life—pushing him to navigate conversations, friendships, and relationships as he works to level up beyond his old self.
