After classes one day, first-year high schooler Yomogi Asanaka finds a hungry drifter living beneath a bridge. The man, Gauma, introduces himself as a “kaiju user,” someone tasked with dealing with the kaiju—monsters that threaten the city and the people in it.

The next evening, Yomogi crosses paths with Gauma again, along with his classmate Yume Minami, just as a kaiju erupts in a crowded part of town. Struggling to control the situation, Gauma reveals a strange item from a glowing pouch and summons Dynazenon, a massive robot that can only operate with four pilots. Pulled into the cockpit alongside Gauma and Minami are Yomogi and Koyomi Yamanaka, an unemployed man wandering the streets, setting them on a collision course with kaiju eugenicists and a fight to unlock Dynazenon’s true power.
