Fifteen-year-old Yuna has spent nearly a year immersed in the VRMMO World Fantasy Online, living as a well-off shut-in with little interest in the outside world. One day, the game’s administrators send her a bear-themed costume; despite how mortifying it looks, the outfit comes with absurdly powerful bonuses. After equipping it, Yuna is suddenly whisked into a different world tied to the game—one where logging out and returning to reality isn’t an option.

Left to figure things out on her own, Yuna begins traveling and soon saves a girl named Fina from a pack of wolves, leading to a trip to the city of Crimonia. The unmistakable bear suit draws attention everywhere she goes, and her overwhelming strength quickly earns her a fearsome nickname: “Bloody Bear.” Taking the situation in stride, Yuna embraces life as an adventurer and sets out to enjoy her new surroundings on her own terms.
