In the bustling metropolis of Washinkyo, Yoroi Takeshi navigates life as a well-meaning but somewhat oblivious assistant to the self-proclaimed detective Kuruma Jo. With grand aspirations of becoming the world's greatest sleuth, Jo often finds himself more caught up in his own blunders than solving actual crimes. Their modest investigative agency operates from a dilapidated office, where financial woes are compounded by the constant threat of eviction from the feisty Nanba Teru, the landlord's daughter, who is less than pleased with Jo's chronic late rent.

While the duo struggles to attract clients, they resort to eavesdropping on the nearby Secret International Police Department, hoping for a break. Unbeknownst to Jo and Teru, Takeshi harbors a remarkable secret: he is the son of the police chief and possesses the ability to transform into the formidable superhero Hurricane Polymar with the help of his trusty Poly-Met helmet. As he dons his vibrant red suit, Takeshi battles a variety of villains, from criminal syndicates to monstrous threats, with only his loyal Saint Bernard, Daisaku, aware of his double life. Together, they embark on thrilling adventures, confronting danger and upholding justice in their futuristic city.
