The Tatami Time Machine Blues

In sweltering August heat in Kyoto, a university student heads back to his apartment with one simple goal: crank up the air conditioner and finally cool off. That small comfort vanishes when Ozu carelessly drenches the remote in soda, leaving the unit useless and the whole group stuck enduring the oppressive summer.

When they uncover a seemingly authentic time machine tucked away in their storage room, desperation turns into a risky plan. Hoping to retrieve the remote before it’s ruined, they jump back in time—without considering what meddling with the past might set in motion. The attempt to fix one miserable afternoon quickly spirals into a tense, mind-bending chain of events.
