Ningen Fushin: Adventurers Who Don't Believe in Humanity Will Save the World

Nick, a seasoned adventurer, crosses paths at a tavern with Tiana the mage, Zem the cleric, and Curran, a half-dragon—each arriving alone, only to end up sharing the same table. As the night wears on, they open up about the grievances that brought them there and the hobbies they’ve clung to as a way to cope. Their lives couldn’t be more different, yet every story circles back to the same wound: betrayal by someone they once trusted, leaving them wary of humanity.

They also share a more immediate problem—none of them has much money. Deciding that scraping by isn’t sustainable, the four band together as a party with a practical goal: climb the ranks, earn as much as they can, and fund the pursuits that keep them going. What begins as a partnership of mutual convenience gradually points toward something far larger, as these disillusioned adventurers find themselves on a path that could one day save the world from an unimaginable threat.
