Synopsis
After serving the Demon King’s army for over three decades, Dariel has always done his duty, raised under Granbarza of the Four Heavenly Generals. But with no talent for magic, he’s treated as an embarrassment by Granbarza’s son, Bashbarza—who, upon taking his father’s place, promptly dismisses Dariel and leaves him without a role or a home.
Lost in the forest, Dariel comes to the aid of a human girl, Malika, as she flees a monster. Grateful, she offers him shelter in her village, where an unexpected truth emerges: Dariel’s inability to use demonic magic is because he isn’t a demon at all—he’s human.
