Psycho-Pass: Providence

Set in 2113, Psycho-Pass: Providence opens after the Ministry of Foreign Affairs disbands its covert paramilitary team, the Peacebreakers—only for the unit to vanish without a trace. Five years later, they abruptly reappear with the murder of scientist Milcia Stronskaya, who was carrying top-secret documents tied to the future of the Sybil System, Japan’s surveillance framework for identifying potential criminals.

With the case threatening national security, the Public Safety Bureau moves to investigate and coordinate with the MFA for an impending confrontation. The Bureau’s chief brings former Enforcer Shinya Kougami back into the fold, despite his past defection and his current work under Frederica Hanashiro within the MFA. Kougami’s return unsettles old relationships with Akane Tsunemori and Nobuchika Ginoza, forcing them to navigate lingering distrust while keeping their focus on protecting the Sybil System.
