In a near-future world where Humanoids—highly advanced machines with humanlike personalities, identifiable by their sideways pupils—make up 10% of society, their care demands a specialist. Dr. Hikaru Sudou fills that role, operating a clinic dedicated to Humanoid patients by day. After hours, he works under the name Moggadeet, carrying out illicit procedures while quietly collecting clues connected to his missing mother.

Hikaru’s cases reflect the uneasy edge between personhood and programming: a Humanoid questioning whether she is truly the same individual as the data used to restore her, a teen Humanoid unable to improve in sports, and even a teddy-bear robot carrying memories from multiple owners. As technology advances, each encounter pushes the line between human and Humanoid into murkier territory, raising new psychological and ethical questions with every breakthrough.
