A decade earlier, Princess Krystal Novaty “Hime” Nokanatika fled assassination attempts by a sinister force and slipped into modern-day Japan through a portal from her world. There, she met Haruto Satou and made him promise to forget what he’d seen as their unlikely friendship began. Now, as Hime returns to the Nokanatika Kingdom to shoulder her royal responsibilities, Haruto’s memories suddenly resurface—driving him to chase after her and step through the dimensional gateway himself.

Haruto’s arrival throws Hime’s wedding to Prince Marmarugias Gisaras into chaos just as an abyss monster attacks, putting her life in danger. In a split-second decision, Hime exchanges rings with Haruto, granting her new husband the light-based power needed to defeat the creature. Named the Ring King, Haruto is tasked with marrying four more princesses to gain additional magic and stand a chance against the world’s looming threat: the Abyss King.
