Fate/strange Fake

Fate/strange Fake unfolds around a flawed recreation of the Holy Grail War, modeled after the Third War in Fuyuki. In the aftermath of that conflict, a U.S.-based organization of magi—separate from London’s Mage’s Association—uses the records of Fuyuki’s ritual to design its own. Seventy years later, the city of Snowfield is chosen as the new “Sacred Land,” but the replication proves incomplete: the Saber class is missing, and the loosened definition of what qualifies as a “hero” leads to the summoning of unsettlingly irregular Servants.

To assess what’s happening in Snowfield, the Mage’s Association dispatches Rohngall and his student, Faldeus. Secretly aligned with the American organization, Faldeus has Rohngall shot upon arrival—despite knowing he is only a puppet—then openly asserts that the Grail War is real and long in the making. His declaration sends shockwaves through the Clock Tower, as he seeks to “advertise” the project directly to the Association.
