Okitsura: Fell in Love with an Okinawan Girl, but I Just Wish I Know What She's Saying

After transferring from Tokyo to Okinawa, Teruaki “Teru” Nakamura quickly finds himself drawn to Hina Kyan, a bright, outgoing classmate who goes out of her way to make him feel at home in his new high school. There’s just one problem: Hina’s strong Okinawan dialect often leaves Teru struggling to understand what she’s saying, even as she enthusiastically shares the island’s culture with him.

Kana Higa, Hina’s best friend, steps in to translate and teach Teru handy local phrases. But Kana’s help isn’t entirely selfless—she has a crush on Teru and uses the chance to spend time with him. As the three grow closer without realizing each other’s feelings, Teru settles into Okinawa through their everyday moments and the friendships forming around him.
