MF Ghost Season 2

The MFG tournament moves into its second race at Lake Ashinoko, a course infamous for its difficulty. Kanata Katagiri enters with a clear handicap in raw horsepower, but careful tuning on his Toyota 86 GT helps him climb quickly into contention during qualifying. When the final day is hit by a torrential downpour, fading traction turns the race into a struggle for every driver on the grid.

Drawing on the environment he was raised in and the training that shaped his driving, Kanata finds ways to edge ahead—often by choosing lines that leave little room for error. Yet the biggest hurdles remain in front: Michael Beckenbauer, winner of the previous race, and Kouki Sawatari, the Lake Ashinoko record holder. Even if Kanata closes the gap, the pressure doesn’t let up, with rivals behind ready to capitalize on any slip.
