Ai no Kusabi (2012)

On the distant planet Amoi, society is rigidly ordered under the rule of the supercomputer Jupiter. In a world with a largely male population, pale-haired members of the elite are permitted to keep dark-haired “mongrels” as temporary pets, reinforcing a harsh divide between privilege and the slums.

Iason, an elite citizen, crosses paths with Riki in the lower districts and brings him into his care. When Iason refuses to part with Riki within the accepted limits, whispers spread through their stratified world, casting suspicion on the nature of their bond and the consequences of defying social expectation.
