Synopsis
Laust grows up as a healer dismissed as talentless, repeatedly exploited by opportunistic adventurers. Even after pushing himself through rigorous training, his first real party—Blades of Lightning—cheats him and ultimately casts him out under the order of its leader, Margulus, leaving him a target of public scorn.
With his confidence shaken, Laust is caught off guard when the newcomer Narsena asks him to team up. He agrees, and the pair begin making a name for themselves by pressing into unexplored sections of the labyrinth—though Narsena’s sudden interest seems to have motives Laust doesn’t notice.
