Kurumi Mirai has always dreamed of becoming a magician, pouring her heart into preparation for the esteemed Rettoran Academy of Magic. Despite her impressive performance on the entrance exam, her hopes are dashed when she is assigned to the academy's standard class rather than the elite magic program she longed for.

In this new environment, Kurumi finds camaraderie with her roommate, Maki Kumiiru, and Yuzu Edel, another girl grappling with her own disappointment over their placements. However, their spirits are lifted when their homeroom teacher, Minami Suzuki, unexpectedly offers to teach them magic, igniting a flicker of hope in the trio. As they embark on this unconventional journey, the girls discover that the path to becoming magicians might not be as straightforward as they once believed, but it could still lead to fulfilling their dreams.
