Yaiba: Samurai Legend

Raised deep in a tropical jungle, Yaiba Kurogane trains relentlessly in swordsmanship under his father, Kenjuurou, with no real sense of the modern world beyond their own. That changes when the pair are accidentally shipped to Japan inside a container, where they cross paths with Kenjuurou’s longtime rival, Raizou Mine, and Raizou’s daughter, Sayaka. With nowhere else to go, Yaiba strikes a bargain: defeat the dojo’s strongest student, and he’ll be allowed to stay with the Mine family.

Yaiba’s unusual technique and raw strength quickly prove he belongs, but his hunger for tougher opponents pulls him into everyday life alongside Sayaka at school. There, he’s beaten by Takeshi Onimaru and immediately recognizes him as the rival he’s been looking for. When Onimaru claims his family’s sword and gains demonic power, Yaiba is forced to push his training further than ever to face him head-on.
