Synopsis
Traveling merchant Kraft Lawrence and the wolf deity Holo share a meal with Norah Arendt, the young shepherdess who once aided them in smuggling gold. Holo’s irritation simmers throughout the evening—sparked by Norah’s work and by the ease with which she draws close to Lawrence—making it hard for her to enjoy even a quiet dinner.
Not long after, fatigue catches up with Holo and she falls ill, leaving Lawrence to watch over her with anxious devotion. As her strength slowly returns, Holo drifts into reflection, recalling the journey and the moments they’ve shared along the road.
