Synopsis
Fia has always aspired to be a knight, but she finds herself overshadowed by her more skilled family members. Despite her lack of natural talent, her determination drives her to train relentlessly. When the crucial moment arrives for her to vanquish a minor demon and validate her place among warriors, fate intervenes, leading her to confront a dragon instead. A life-threatening injury triggers vivid memories of her past existence as a revered Saint who once vanquished the Demon King, a legacy that ended in turmoil and regret.
As Fia grapples with the resurgence of her former powers, she must navigate the complexities of her new reality. With the potential to become a knight far beyond her previous limits, she faces the challenge of overcoming her fears and embracing her destiny. The journey ahead will test her resolve and redefine what it means to be a hero in a world filled with peril and magic.
Otaku Consensus
Early reception is cautiously positive rather than rapturous: Tomoe Makino’s adaptation is most effective when Fia’s obsessive secrecy becomes comic dramatic irony without erasing the betrayal-fueled danger behind it. Promotional coverage praises that mix of vengeance and warmth, but no standout arc or sustained pacing judgment is yet supportable this early in the broadcast. The clearest reservation is the muted initial response—6.57 on MyAnimeList and 65 on AniList—rather than any documented consensus around a specific technical failure.
Why You Should Watch
Watch this if you want an overpowered fantasy heroine whose biggest obstacle is controlling the social consequences of her abilities, not acquiring another convenient skill. The promotional material turns concealment into a running pressure cooker: healing and protection magic sit beside conspicuous threefold boosts to strength and speed, making every success harder to explain. It scratches the saint-magic itch of The Saint’s Magic Power Is Omnipotent but replaces its gentler emphasis with knightly action, while Fia’s self-protective logic carries shades of Tearmoon Empire’s misunderstanding comedy under a more threatening history. Kenichirou Suehiro’s involvement also gives the series strong musical credentials for switching between wonder, danger, and farce. It is tailored to viewers who like powerful female leads but want secrecy, institutional stakes, and dragons instead of a straightforward power fantasy.
Key Characters
- FFia Ruud(VA: Shion Wakayama)
Fia is compelling because her spectacular magic and sincere confidence in her own disguise create a gap between self-perception and reality that the trailer repeatedly mines for tension and comedy.
- SSaviz Nabu(VA: Yuuichirou Umehara)
Saviz is positioned as a major presence within the knight-centered ensemble, with Yuuichirou Umehara’s casting lending the role the composed authority for which his performances are known.
What Makes It Stand Out
- 1
The first promotional video makes the former Saint’s history more pointed than the basic synopsis: she was also a royal princess, helped her prince brothers defeat the Demon King, and was then abandoned through their betrayal. That gives the concealment comedy a concrete undertow of distrust.
- 2
Fia’s powers are not presented only as healing magic; the trailer explicitly demonstrates physical enhancement with attack power and speed multiplied threefold. This lets the series combine saintly support magic with close-range knight action.
- 3
Felix Film handles the animation production, while AniList users have applied the CGI tag at 20 percent. CG is therefore a visible production element, though far less defining in community tagging than the female protagonist, dragons, or reincarnation.
- 4
Kenichirou Suehiro composes the score, giving the fantasy production a composer associated with large-scale dramatic and suspense-oriented anime music rather than a purely pastoral approach.
- 5
The adaptation’s creative chain is clearly divided: Tomoe Makino directs, Naoki Murata serves as assistant director, Hitomi Mieno controls series composition, and Satomi Kurita translates chibi’s original character concepts into animation designs.
Fun Facts & Trivia
- Fun fact 1
- Touya is credited for the original story, while the distinctively named illustrator chibi created the original character designs. Satomi Kurita is responsible for adapting those designs for animation.
- Fun fact 2
- The ending theme’s lyrics have two credited writers, Takanori Mizoguchi and Kyouichi Miyazaki, rather than a single listed lyricist.
- Fun fact 3
- The Japanese cast pairs Shion Wakayama as Fia Ruud with Yuuichirou Umehara as Saviz Nabu, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Cyril Sutherland, and Shinnosuke Tokudome as Zavilia.
- Fun fact 4
- The available ratings represent a very early snapshot: the series premiered on October 3, 2026, and its supplied MyAnimeList score of 6.57 comes from only 138 votes. AniList records 65 out of 100 and 82 favourites.
