Scum of the Brave

In a dystopian Tokyo of the mid-21st century, the city is dominated by powerful crime lords known as Demon Lords, who wield terrifying abilities granted by ether enhancement surgeries. The only force capable of challenging their reign comes from Heroes, bounty hunters who enhance their own powers through a risky drug known as E3. In this gritty world where killing is sanctioned, the role of a Hero is driven more by the instinct for survival than by any sense of justice.

Yashiro, infamously known as the Reaper, is a solitary Hero navigating this treacherous underbelly. His life takes an unexpected turn when Jougamine, a tenacious high school girl and self-styled apprentice, thrusts herself into his chaotic existence. As he reluctantly mentors her, Yashiro finds himself drawn into an increasingly dangerous series of confrontations, challenging not only their enemies but also the very nature of their chosen paths.
