Synopsis
With the mysterious Gate open once more, the Japan Self-Defense Forces press on with exploration and diplomacy in the Special Region, a parallel world beyond modern Japan. Their efforts extend across land and into unsettled waters, where fragile stability is tested by competing interests and rising tension.
When an American journalist is abducted amid the Special Region’s troubled seas, an elite unit from the Japanese Maritime forces is dispatched on a perilous rescue operation.
