Air in Summer

Kanna refuses to be transferred to another shrine and separated from the people she cares about, so she slips away under cover of night. At her side are Ryuuya, her devoted bodyguard, and Uraha, a trusted companion, as they flee with the knowledge that pursuers are close behind.

Their escape becomes a journey in search of Kanna’s mother, whom she has longed to meet again after years apart. Along the way, the trio gets a rare glimpse of life beyond the palace walls—moments of calm and discovery that offer brief relief from the strain and uncertainty that follows them.
