Gintama: The Movie

In the alien-occupied, anything-goes Edo of *Gintama: The Movie*, Gintoki Sakata keeps the Yorozuya afloat with Shinpachi and Kagura, taking whatever odd jobs come their way and trying to avoid trouble—usually without much success. When Katsura, a longtime acquaintance and leader of the Joui rebels, vanishes after a vicious attack by an unknown assailant, Shinpachi and Kagura start digging into his disappearance. At the same time, Gintoki accepts a request from the blacksmith Tetsuya to retrieve a stolen blade: a mysterious sword known as Benizakura.

What begins as two separate cases slowly converges, drawing the Yorozuya into a far-reaching plot tied to the sword’s unsettling secret. With the stakes rising, Gintoki chooses a direct approach, heading for the enemy’s base alongside a few unexpected allies for one of his most dangerous jobs yet.
