A recurring Benizakura-era gag has the Yorozuya sprawled around a kotatsu on New Year’s, idly peeling tangerines while the conversation drifts into increasingly grand topics. Shinpachi can’t help calling out the blatant recycling of the same animation, only for the moment to keep rolling on anyway.
