Rainbow Samurai

Set in the mid-19th century, during a time when Japan remains largely isolated from the rest of the world, a young boy named Ryoma emerges from a humble samurai family on the island of Shikoku. As the nation begins to experience the first stirrings of change under the long-standing Tokugawa shogunate, Ryoma's journey unfolds, leading him to become a pivotal figure in the movement to transform Japan and bridge its gap with the West.

At just seven years old, Ryoma is a sensitive and compassionate soul who detests violence in all its forms. His empathy runs deep, often bringing him to tears over the smallest acts of cruelty, earning him the nickname "cry baby" among his peers and family. Yet, beneath this gentle exterior lies a courageous spirit; his tears stem from a profound desire to combat injustice rather than fear.
