How Otaku Insider articles get made, reviewed, and corrected.
Who we are
Otaku Insider is the editorial arm of Otaku Den, a free anime tracking and discovery platform. Our articles are edited by Ranen, who chooses every story we cover and signs off on every piece before it's published.
How we use AI
We're upfront about this: AI helps us write. Articles carry the byline "By Ranen · with AI support" because that's exactly how they're made:
- Ranen picks the topics, sets the angle, and contributes the ideas and takes that shape each article.
- AI assists with research, drafting, and structure — like a very fast writing partner.
- Ranen reviews every article, requests revisions where the draft misses the mark, and approves the final version before it goes live. Nothing is published without a human sign-off.
Sources and facts
News coverage cites its sources — you'll find them listed at the bottom of every news article with links to the original reporting. Data-driven pieces use Otaku Den's own community statistics: real ratings, watchlists, and rankings from our members. Anime details (episode counts, studios, air dates) come from our catalog, which syncs with public anime databases.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it. Corrections are made directly to the article, and the article's "last updated" date reflects the change. Spotted an error? Email us at support@otakuden.gg and we'll take a look.
Independence
We don't run sponsored articles or accept payment for coverage. Opinions in our editorials and rankings are our own — and our community's, when we cite Otaku Den member data.
