A Letter to Momo

After her father’s sudden death, 11-year-old Momo Miyaura moves from Tokyo with her mother to a secluded island in the Seto Inland Sea. Left with only an unfinished letter that begins “Dear Momo,” she carries the unease of what was never said as she steps into an unfamiliar life.

The quiet seaside town feels distant and old-fashioned—weathered wooden houses, still fields, and lonely shrines tucked away from view. While exploring the attic of their new home, Momo discovers a worn picture book about youkai, and soon unsettling incidents ripple through the island. Before long, three troublesome youkai appear, drawing Momo into a strange new reality as she tries to find her footing and make peace with her father’s lingering words.
