Stellvia

In 2167, Earth is devastated when a nearby star, Hydrus Beta, goes supernova and floods the planet with deadly radiation. Nearly two centuries later, in 2356, humanity has reunited to rebuild—yet an ominous second wave is expected, and preparations to withstand it have become a shared global priority.

To defend the planet, enormous space colonies known as “Foundations” have been established across the Solar System, serving as hubs of research and exploration. Shima Katase applies to study at one such Foundation, Stellvia, against her mother’s wishes, driven by a simple dream: to see space with her own eyes.

At Stellvia, Shima trains as a pilot and hopes to earn a place in the “Great Mission” designed to protect Earth from the coming threat. Between demanding flight classes and a complicated social life, she faces setbacks that test her resolve—yet each challenge nudges her closer to becoming someone capable of standing with humanity when it matters most.
