Set within the VRMMO “The World,” an event in the Dungeon of Nankoflank draws player character Mimiru into an adventure alongside Bear. As they take on the challenge, Mimiru admits her motivation isn’t loot or bragging rights, but a desire to recapture the feelings and memories from when she first began playing.

Their run leads them to another player, Mimika, and the trio continues through quests and in-game events together. Along the way, Mimiru gradually reconsiders what “The World” means to her, finding a deeper purpose in the experience beyond simple rewards.
