Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

In 2065, Earth has been transformed by the arrival of the Phantoms—deadly alien entities whose touch can mean instant death or a slow, inevitable decline. With humanity pushed to the brink, surviving populations shelter behind massive force-field domes built to keep the Phantoms at bay.

Scientist Aki Ross and her mentor, Dr. Sid, pursue a lasting way to drive the invaders from the planet, convinced that a spiritual “Gaia” energy holds the key to eliminating the Phantom threat. Backed by the human council and the military unit Deep Eyes, their search is complicated by growing disagreement over how to fight an enemy that seems unstoppable. As Aki, Sid, Grey, and their allies press on, they find themselves caught between an alien menace and human opposition that may be just as dangerous.
