In "MegaMan: Wishing upon a Star," Rockman embarks on a captivating journey from the Game-World to the real world, exploring the cultural nuances of Japan. Initially conceived as a special episode for the original Mega Man animated series by Ruby-Spears, which aired in the mid-1990s, this installment showcases Rockman’s adventures as he navigates the complexities of life outside his familiar digital realm.

Although the episode was completed, the shift in Ruby-Spears' design direction meant it never found its way into the official lineup. Later, two additional episodes continued this narrative under the title "Rockman," further expanding on the themes introduced here. After years of uncertainty regarding their availability, these episodes were finally released in 2002 as part of Rockman’s 15th Anniversary DVD collection, offering both Japanese and English dubs.
