In the futuristic setting of 220X, society is intertwined with advanced radio-wave technology, allowing for seamless connectivity via the Wave Road. Young Subaru Hoshikawa, a fifth grader grappling with the loss of his father in a space accident, encounters an otherworldly entity known as War-Rock. This extraterrestrial being, hailing from a distant FM planet, holds vital information about Subaru's father, drawing the attention of various alien forces intent on capturing War-Rock.

Together, Subaru and War-Rock forge an alliance, merging their abilities to become Rockman, a formidable radio-wave human. As Rockman, they navigate the intricate pathways of the Wave Road, engaging in battles against menacing radio-wave viruses and FMs that pose a threat to Earth. Their journey is not only a quest for answers but also a thrilling adventure filled with challenges that test their courage and friendship.
