Gunpla—Gundam plastic models—once surged in popularity alongside *Mobile Suit Gundam*, later waned, and then returned in a new form. Thanks to Plavsky particles, builders can now send their creations into virtual-reality-style battles, with the strongest teams aiming for the annual Gunpla World Tournament.

Sei Iori, the son of a former tournament finalist, wants to claim the title himself. He has the skills to build exceptional Gunpla, but not the battle ability to bring them to victory. His fortunes change when he meets Reiji, a mysterious boy with little understanding of everyday society yet a remarkable talent for Gunpla combat. Together, they pair craftsmanship and piloting skill to challenge the competition on the road to the world tournament.
