Video Girl Ai

Reeling from a painful rejection, high schooler Youta Moteuchi wanders into a shadowy video shop and takes home a mysterious “video girl” tape—supposedly made to comfort lonely men. When he plays it on his malfunctioning VCR, the impossible happens: Ai Amano steps out of the television and into his room. She seems like the answer to his longing for real love, but the damaged machine has left her with a more complicated, sometimes troublesome personality than intended.

Even so, Ai throws herself into her new role with sincerity, vowing to help Youta find happiness and the romance he’s been missing. Video Girl Ai mixes comedy, drama, and ecchi-tinged romantic tension as Youta navigates daily life and a messy web of feelings with his unexpected, otherworldly companion at his side.
