Waiting in the Summer

On a summer night while trying out his camera on a bridge, Kaito Kirishima witnesses a vivid blue light cut across the sky—then is knocked from the railing moments later. A hand catches his just before everything goes dark. When he wakes the next morning in his own room, he’s uninjured and unable to remember what happened.

Back at school, Kaito and his friends debate what to do with the camera and settle on filming a movie during their summer break. Sensing Kaito’s interest in new upperclassman Ichika Takatsuki, Tetsurou Ishigaki invites her to join the project, along with her friend Remon Yamano. As filming begins, the group’s shared summer quickly becomes about more than a movie, drawing out complicated feelings and shifting relationships that none of them can ignore.
