Hinata is clumsy, awkward, and quietly smitten with his classmate Shigure—so much so that he often drifts into daydreams where the two of them set off on wondrous, faraway quests. Those fantasies feel a little closer to reality when Shigure asks him to help look after the school’s birds, giving Hinata a rare chance to spend time by her side.

But their growing closeness is tested when a difficult situation involving Shigure’s parents threatens to upend what Hinata thought he was building. With the possibility of being left behind, he’s forced to find the courage to put his feelings into words before he’s forgotten.
