Kuro no Su: Chronus

Makoto Nakazono has lived with an unsettling gift for as long as he can remember: the ability to see grim reapers who appear before individuals on the brink of death, guiding their souls to the afterlife. Aware that sharing this extraordinary insight would lead to disbelief and skepticism, he opts to keep his experiences to himself, striving to lead a normal life despite the dark shadows lurking around him.

Everything shifts when a reaper unexpectedly approaches him at school, challenging Makoto on his choice to remain passive. The encounter takes a more personal turn as he discovers the reaper's intent is linked to his close friend, Hazuki Horiuchi. Torn between the desire to protect her and the acceptance of fate's inevitability, Makoto grapples with the possibility of altering her destiny, igniting a journey filled with profound questions about life, death, and the choices that define us.
