Akio Honjou is a high schooler with an uncanny musical ability: after hearing a piece just once, he can replay it flawlessly from memory. When a calm piano melody unexpectedly rings out from a classmate’s phone during class, the tune lingers with him—so much so that he later tries to recreate it on his own.

That search leads Akio to Juri Makina, the girl connected to the mysterious melody. Drawn together by the music, he begins to wonder whether a single song can offer a glimpse into someone else’s inner world—and help him understand the thoughtful, emotionally complex Juri beyond what she shows at school.
