Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai

After the demon lord Hadlar is defeated, the monsters once bound by his malice scatter to the island of Delmurin in search of a quiet life. There, Dai grows up as the island’s only human, raised by the gentle monster Brass and inspired by a simple wish: to become a true hero.

That dream turns urgent when Hadlar returns from death and threatens the world again. The veteran hero Avan arrives to train Dai, but Hadlar reveals he now serves an even greater demon lord and strikes at Avan. In the ensuing battle, Avan resorts to a self-sacrificing spell that still fails to finish Hadlar. With Dai and Avan’s other student, Pop, pushed to the brink, a mysterious crest appears on Dai’s forehead, awakening sudden power that drives Hadlar back—setting Dai and Pop on a journey to honor Avan’s legacy and restore peace.
