Slayers

Lina Inverse, a formidable and notoriously greedy sorceress, wanders from town to town relieving bandits of their ill-gotten treasures. When a vengeful group of thieves springs an ambush in the forest, she’s ready to handle it alone—until Gourry Gabriev, a well-meaning but clueless swordsman, barges in and mistakes her for someone in need of saving. After the brigands are quickly dispatched, Gourry insists on escorting Lina to Atlas City, and despite her reluctance, she allows him to tag along.

Their uneasy partnership turns dangerous when Lina unknowingly ends up with a powerful magical item among her latest loot. Soon, two enigmatic pursuers set their sights on Lina and her self-appointed guardian, determined to claim the object for seemingly sinister ends—pulling the pair into an adventure where far more than stolen treasure is on the line.
