Knights of Sidonia: Battle for Planet Nine

Still reeling from a near-disastrous encounter with a colossal Gauna that claimed countless lives, Sidonia’s captain, Kobayashi, abandons her former restraint and consolidates authority. With former Sidonians now settled in the Lem system, she commits to wiping out the Gauna threat once and for all—bolstered by newly developed long-range weaponry and the emergence of Tsumugi Shiraui, a powerful human–Gauna chimera.

But the use of chimeras sparks resentment, and Kobayashi’s sweeping campaign carries enormous uncertainty. She turns to rising ace pilot Nagate Tanikaze, whose past ties to Shizuka Hoshijiro and Benisuzume’s placenta draw him unexpectedly close to Tsumugi. As the decisive confrontation looms, Nagate clings to brief moments of calm with his friend Izana Shinatose, even as Kobayashi quietly advances an experimental weapon that could endanger Sidonia itself.
