Knights of Sidonia

Long after Earth’s destruction, humanity survives only in colossal “seed ships” scattered across the galaxy, still hunted by the alien Gauna. In the year 3394, Nagate Tanikaze emerges from a secluded life deep within the seed ship Sidonia, venturing to the upper levels in search of food—only to be swept into a society and crisis he never knew existed.

When the Gauna launch an attack on Sidonia, Tanikaze is thrust into the ship’s defense alongside fellow soldiers, including Shizuka Hoshijiro, Izana Shinatose, and Yuhata Midorikawa. As he learns what life is like beyond his underground isolation, he becomes central to Sidonia’s fight to protect humanity’s last refuge in space.
