The Case of Hana & Alice

After transferring to Ishinomori Middle School, Tetsuko “Alice” Arisugawa catches wind of an unsettling rumor circulating through her new class. The student who once sat in her seat—an unremarkable boy nicknamed “Judas”—has vanished, and whispers insist he was murdered, supposedly poisoned by one of his four “wives.” Already navigating her mother’s unwanted interference and the sting of being singled out by classmates, Alice can’t help but dig into what really happened.

Her search draws her next door to Hana Arai, a quirky, withdrawn neighbor living on the fringes of everyone’s attention. Their first meeting is awkward, but Hana agrees to join the investigation, sketching out a plan to follow the scattered hints Judas left behind. As the two pursue the truth behind the disappearance, an unexpected bond begins to take shape alongside the mystery.
