Yuuta Hoshitani enters the renowned Ayanagi Academy, driven by the hope of tracking down the high schooler who once inspired him. Famous for cultivating top-tier musical performers, the school requires students to prove themselves in a competitive selection before they can join the Musical Department. Towering over the process is the Kao Council—powerful third-years whose influence reaches deep into the department’s admissions. For Hoshitani, the clearest shortcut is earning a spot on a Star Team, where a Kao Council member serves as instructor.

After drawing the attention of the council’s most unconventional member, Itsuki Ootori, Hoshitani is placed on Team Ootori alongside his roommate Tooru Nayuki, aspiring Kabuki performer Kakeru Tengenji, the reserved Shuu Kuga, and Kaito Tsukigami, younger brother of celebrated Ayanagi graduate Haruto. With Hoshitani wrestling with his own lack of ability and each teammate confronting personal hurdles, the group must hold its ground against rival Star Teams—including those led by the other Kao Council members—while working toward a performance at the Ayanagi Festival.
