Veludo Way is known for its bustling street performances and rising talent, making it a natural draw for anyone chasing the stage. After receiving an enigmatic letter, Izumi Tachibana heads to the theater once led by her father’s once-successful troupe, Mankai Company—only to find the venue on the verge of being taken over under the weight of its debts. She manages to negotiate a final opportunity, but the terms are strict: a debut production must be mounted within a month, the company’s four all-male troupes must be brought back, and the full debt must be repaid within a year. On top of it all, Izumi is required to take the director’s seat herself.

With the clock already ticking, Izumi assembles the first lineup for the Spring Troupe: Sakuya Sakuma, an eager high schooler; Masumi Usui, who is openly devoted to her; Tsuzuru Minagi, a budding playwright; Itaru Chigasaki, a seasoned office worker; and Citron, a cheerful foreigner. None of them are seasoned performers, leaving Izumi to shape them into an acting unit capable of delivering a show that can keep Mankai Company alive.
