Phantasy Star Online 2 The Animation

In 2027, *Phantasy Star Online 2* has become the defining pastime at Seiga Academy, with nearly the entire student body swept up in the craze. One notable exception is Itsuki Tachibana, an accomplished, well-rounded student who’s never been interested in video games. As the school begins reviewing whether the game is harming students, Itsuki’s outsider perspective draws the attention of Rina Izumi, the exacting student council president determined to prove the game isn’t the problem.

Rina appoints Itsuki as vice president and gives him an unusual assignment: start playing *Phantasy Star Online 2* while keeping his grades intact, then report back on what he learns. With daily observations to deliver and the game’s reputation on the line, Itsuki finds himself unexpectedly responsible for influencing how Seiga Academy judges the phenomenon.
