Ganbare Genki

Horiguchi Genki's journey begins in the shadows of loss, having grown up without his mother and under the care of his father, Shark Horiguchi, a once-prominent boxer now struggling to find his footing. Despite the hardships, young Genki idolizes his father, believing that strength and resilience run in their blood. His dream of becoming a champion boxer fuels his determination, even as he faces the challenges that come with his father's untimely death and the disapproval of his adoptive grandparents.

Undeterred by obstacles, Genki secretly trains, driven by a relentless spirit and a desire to honor his father's legacy. Along the way, he encounters a diverse cast of characters, including Teacher Ashikiwa, who reminds him of his mother, and Mishima, a high school boxing champion. Each interaction helps shape his path as he navigates the complexities of ambition and personal growth, all while striving to carve out his own identity in the boxing world.
