Tomorrow's Joe

Joe Yabuki is a rough, restless drifter who meets trouble head-on—usually with his fists. Lacking polish and discipline but armed with sharp, self-taught fighting instincts, he scrapes by in the slums of Doya until a clash with a local gang reveals just how formidable he can be, even when badly outnumbered.

The brawl catches the eye of Danpei Tange, a washed-up boxing coach now drowning his past in alcohol. Convinced Joe has the talent to become Japan’s greatest boxer, Danpei offers to train him. Joe initially brushes him off as a hopeless drunk, but after Danpei saves his life, he agrees to live under his roof and learn boxing—though his defiant nature makes him a difficult pupil who often slips back into old habits.

As Joe steps into the brutal world of professional boxing, he must learn to rely on his mentor and refine the skills being drilled into him. The climb is relentless, filled with hard lessons and tests of will that push him to his limits.
