Five years have passed since the Global Synchronic Urban Disappearance, an enigmatic event that caused a significant portion of Ikebukuro to vanish overnight, plunging the area into chaos. In the midst of this tumult, strange electromagnetic phenomena known as "Auroras" began to appear, adding to the mystery of the city’s transformation.

High school student Seria Morino finds herself captivated by the performance of idol Izumi Hinazaki at a groundbreaking play staged in the "Super Material Theater," a venue designed to breathe new life into Ikebukuro through innovative holographic technology. Inspired by Izumi's talent, Seria's passion for becoming an idol is ignited, leading her to be scouted by Kaoru Sakakibara, the director of the theater troupe Alice in Theater, which Izumi once graced. Eager to chase her aspirations, Seria joins the troupe, where she is warmly welcomed by a group of enthusiastic girls dedicated to their craft. Yet, beneath the surface of this supportive environment, an unsettling mystery lurks, hinting at deeper challenges awaiting Seria and her new friends.
